Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in his condolence message said Raghavan, who passed away today, had left an imprint as a legislator and an "efficient administrator".
Describing Raghavan as a brave politician, Chandy said he played a very important role in strengthening UDF and also stood firm in his stand even in times of adverse political situations.
As a far sighted leader, Raghavan gave a vision to co-operative sector in the state and Pariyaram Medical College, Kannur AKG Co-operative Medical College, Ayurveda College and Parasanikadvau Snake Park would remain as ever green memory of him.
CPI-M State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said Rahgavn's life was a brave episode in one of the phases of Communist party's history in the state.

Expressing deep sorrow over the death, Vijayan said Raghavan also played a dedicated role for social changes in the state.
SJD leader M P Veendrankumar said Raghavan was a political leader, who never compromised in ideals and personality. He was a leader who formed his own party by resisting all attempts of CPI (M), he added.
State Ministers P K Kunhalikuty, Ramesh Chennithala were among those who condoled the death of Raghavan.
