Dixit, who fronts the multilingual folk band The Raghu Dixit Project enthralled an audience at Purana Qila here last evening with a scintillating musical performance accompanied by dance group Nritarutya and a dazzling laser light show.
The musical event 'Light The Way' organised by the United Nations in India, action/2015, Save the Children and Seher aimed at illuminating the goals which will be signed and adopted by member nations at UN Sustainable Development Summit and are supposed to guide development policy around the world for the next 15 years.
"We hope PM Modi picks right topics for India and lead this world towards development. People should recognize his efforts at the UN," Dixit said.
The Bengaluru-based singer was outfitted in a kurta and lungi with ghunghroos on his ankles, a trademark style adopted by the musician.
"All the world leaders are getting together and will discuss the problems that they are facing. I hope the PM takes the right decision," Dixit said.
