Raghubar Das flags off Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yozana

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today flagged of a pilgrimage train carrying 60-plus people from BPL families to Puri under the 'Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yozana'.
Flagging off the train at Hatia station, Das said his government was committed to the poor as it was its responsibility to address their aspirations and hopes, and he was happy to flag of the train, an official release said.
He said the scheme was for every section of the society and added, under the scheme elderly people could make pilgrimage to Tirupati, Ajmer Sharif and other centres.
Saying that it was the first such train since the creation of the state, Das said the government would help the BPL families make pilgrimage, the release said.

A member of each elderly pilgrim's family was allowed to travel for tendering the elderly, the CM said and expected that IRCTC would oversee the elderly travelers.
State Tourism minister Amar Bauri said it was a historic moment for the state and the scheme was important for the needy families and the CM's initiative would be remembered for ever.
Fifty-two among the elderly travelers exchanged currency notes at a special arrangement made by Punjab National Bank and Bank of India at the Hatia Railway station.
MLA Gangotri Kujur, Development Commissioner Amit Khare and Tourism Secretary Rahul Sharma were among several officials present at the station, the release added.
