Rahul calls family members of slain Chhattisgarh leaders

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today reached out to the families members of party leaders who were brutally killed in a Maoist ambush in Chhattisgarh last year.
He called relatives of slain former Congress state Nand Kumar Patel, Mahendra Karma and Uday Mudliyar.
Rahul also tried to reach out to the family of V C Shukla but his daughter was in the US.
On this day last year, Maoists carried out one of their most high-profile attacks in the Jeeram Ghati region of Bastar, killing 27 and wiping out almost the entire state Congress leadership in the state.
