Hitting the campaign trail, Rahul Gandhi today held a road show in south Delhi during which he asserted that Congress will stage a comeback and accused the government of neglecting the poor for the sake of "three to four" corporates.
The Congress Vice President was also dimissive about Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as he toured Kalkaji and adjoining areas in an open vehicle accompanied by some party colleagues like Ajay Maken, Subhash Chopra and Sharmishta Mukherjee, daughter of President Pranab Mukherjee.
He said his party will fight the February 7 Assembly polls on three key issues which includes providing electricity and water at the lowest cost.
"Congress is a party for the poor people. We will stage a comeback and will hold the hands of the poor," Gandhi said.
"We will give water and electricity at the lowest possible rates, give permanent jobs to contractual workers and give right to shelter," he said.
Asked about AAP which ruled the state for 49 days last year with the help of Congress, he said it is "not an issue.."

Apparently targeting the Narendra Modi government, Gandhi said, "When will the talks stop. When will work begin. Work is being done for only three or four industrialists. Nothing is being done for the poor."
Gandhi arrived in the area at around 3.30 pm and the roadshow lasted for 80 minutes. He waved to the cheering crowds as his open-mini truck criss-crossed the area mostly of unautharized colonies.
Some locals said drinking water and sanitation are the main issues in the area.
