Prasad said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "dogged resolve" to fight terror was amply reflected in his deeds and does not need an explanation in words.
"I want to say this, especially to Rahul Gandhi who makes a remark like 'Khoon ki dalali' against the Prime Minister. Perhaps he has forgotten what a similar unrestrained remark like 'Muat ke Saudagar' had led to some years back," he said.
Earlier also, Prasad had termed the statements extremely regrettable and shameful.
Targeting Congress leaders who asked Modi to show his "56 inch chest" after the Uri attack, the Minister said, he found their reaction to the surgical strikes "strange".

Summing up the message of surgical strikes, he said it was to announce that "we, as a nation, won't tolerate an attack on our unity and integrity".
"We are all proud of our armed forces. We may live for the country but our army and para-military personnel die for the country. We should respect that," he said.
"Giving formal respect to the armed forces on the one hand and raising all issues showing disrespect to the armed forces on the other is not done," he said.
Replying to another question, he said top army officials who served during UPA's time have made it clear no surgical strikes were carried out at this scale across the LoC earlier.
