"Instead of May 11 and 12, Gandhi would visit the state on May 14 and 15," a release from Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Congress) quoted Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy as saying.
Except for dates, there is no change in the programme schedule, it said.
"Rahul Gandhi's presence in the Parliament is required in view of the debate on Land Acquisition Bill in the House. Therefore, his office has intimated us about the postponement of his tour to 14th and 15th May," Uttam Kumar Reddy said.
Meanwhile, PCC president, accompanied by Shabbir, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other leaders, today visited Nizamabad and Adilabad districts to review the arrangements for Rahul's visit.
