Against the backdrop of UP's Dadri incident, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today accused the BJP of engineering riots before "every election" and claimed that the Prime Minister intervenes later to call for peace.
Rahul, who was here to meet distressed farmers, said the grand alliance of Congress, RJD and JD-U will defeat BJP in Bihar.
"BJP has only one card and that is making people fight. Wherever there is an election, before elections they engineer riots and then their Prime Minister will say don't fight," he told reporters here.
Asked if he saw the same pattern being repeated in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul said, "It is happening across the country. Across the country, people from one religion are being made to fight with another and this will not benefit anobody but the country will suffer.
