The state vigilance conducted raids at several premises of a Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) and unearthed documents relating to properties worth over Rs 16 crore.
Raids were conducted at the premises of the MVI, Girish Kumar, in Patna and Nalanda districts, Director General, Vigilance, P K Thakur told reporters.
The said MVI is presently posted at Darbhanga.
During raids, documents relating to several flats in posh localities in Patna, a transport company showing an annual turnover of Rs 6 crore, a petrol pump in Ekangalsarai in Nalanda besides 9 trucks and 16 buses were seized, Thakur said.

He also has property in his native Jaisingh bigha village in Nalanda district too, the Vigilance DG said.
Similarly, Economic Offence wing of the state police conducted search operations against three officials and unearthed papers related to property amounting to several crores.
Raid on the premises of Executive Engineer in Building Construction department, Patna, Ramchandra Sharma yielded land, flats, luxury vehicles and jewellery worth over Rs 4.52 crore, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) S K Bhardwaj said.
In another search in the premises of Awdesh Kumar Mandal, Executive Engineer of Building Construction department, posted in Muzaffarpur, papers related to flat, shops, bank balance and jewellery of over Rs 3.04 crore was recovered, Bhardwaj added.
