Rail movement halts along Malda-NJP stretch

Rail movement along the Malda-New Jalpaiguri stretch came to a halt this evening after an abandoned bag near tracks created a bomb scare at Adina railway station.
Police sources said trains bound for New Jalpaiguri, Guwahati were halted along both sections as GRP, Malda Police and RPF personnel jointly undertook search operations.
The spot is about 20-25 km from Malda junction and search operations were on keeping the trains on the tracks.
