Rail traffic affected at Varanasi-Allahabad stretch

The engine of a goods train broke down between Gyanpur road and Ahimanpur railway stations around 6.30 am this morning, station master of Gyanpur road railway station, Ashok Kumar Verma said.

Following this, Delhi to Darbhanga Swatantra Senani express and Allahabad-Varanasi passenger trains among others remained stranded at different stations before the lines were cleared around 9.30 am and traffic was restored, Verma said.
