Railway Board member questioned by CBI again

Railway Board member (electrical) Kul Bhushan was questioned by CBI for the second consecutive day today in connection with preliminary enquiry against him for alleged corruption.
CBI sources said Kul Bhushan who was examined yesterday in detail was again asked to against appear for questioning in connection with a preliminary enquiry into six allegations of corruption against him.
The sources said he was questioned on 'benami' properties which were allegedly purchased by railway vendors in lieu of favours extended by him.
They said Kul Bhushan, who arrived at the headquarters in the morning, was subjected to intense questioning till very late in the evening.
Kul Bhushan was not immediately available for reaction.
The Railway Board member is also under CBI scanner for alleged corruption in a separate enquiry related to purchase of

The sources said clarification was sought from him on the allegations that he nurtured vendor cartels at Level II in RDSO which wanted to stop contractors from upgrading from Level I to Level II to maintain its monopoly in bagging contracts.
They said Kul Bhushan was also asked about his relations with a renowned builder who allegedly got several relaxations from him in connection with development project of Rail Land Development Authority prime land at Sarai Rohilla here.
He was also questioned about his alleged association with several vendors who were eyeing lucrative railway signalling factory contract proposed in Chandigarh which was to be developed on public private partnership model.
