"The identity of the passenger was yet to be established as a Government Railway Police team rushed to the spot to investigate the incident in Gomoh-Chakradharpur passenger late this evening," SP (Railway) Ajay Linda told PTI.
The body was still lying in the compartment as the train was detained for over two hours at Chandil station, about 35 km from here, in Seraikela-Kharswan district, he said.
Railway sources said the compartment, in which the body was lying, was being detached to allow the train to move for its onward journey.
