Smelling sabotage of the rail tracks in the recent train accidents, All-India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF) has demanded complete safety of the tracks from miscreants.
"Though railwaymen are putting all efforts to ensure smooth and efficient running of trains and with a motto of zero-accident, even then sometimes accidents happen because of the outside interference," AIRF general secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra said.
Mishra blamed "outside interference" on tracks for recent spate of derailments and sought foolproof system for safety of tracks.
He said railwaymen are also pained by such mishaps and their recurrence.
Demanding foolproof security arrangements, AIRF has written a letter to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu expressing concern over the spurt in cases of derailments.
