Railways inflict third successive defeat on J&K

Left-arm spinner Ashish Yadav scalped three batsmen as Railways defended a modest total of 200, eking out a 43-run win over Jammu and Kashmir in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match, here today.
Skipper Karn Sharma top scored with a 60-run knock as Railways put on board 200 after being invited to bat at KSCA Cricket Ground.
Arindam Ghosh (36) and Mahesh Rawat (32) were the other two batsmen who out up some resistance against the J&K bowlers.
J&K's left-arm spinner Waseem Raza (4/31) took four wickets and Rohit Sharma two in a splendid show after winning the toss.
However, the batsmen could not compliment the good work done by the bowlers and were bundled out for 157 in 43.5 overs.
Wicket-keeper batsman Ian Dev Singh scored a fighting 60-run knock and skipper Parvez Rasool managed 30 but others struggled badly.

It was third successive loss for J&K side as they lost to Haryana and Jharkhand before this contest.
