In the upper pool, Railways topped the group 'A' with an all-win record to log with six points while defending champions Chhattisgarh won two and lost one to be second and Delhi occupied the third spot with four points as well. Jammu and Kashmir ended fourth with all-loss record.
In group 'B', Services enjoyed the pride of place with an all-win record to log with six points. Punjab was second with four points, Jharkhand was third with two. Maharashtra lost all the games.
Madhya Pradesh (group 'C'), Haryana (group 'D'), Bengal (group 'E') and Karnataka (group 'F') are well placed to top their respective groups and move into the knockout stage.
In play-off matches to qualify for the quarterfinals, Bengal will play MP; and Haryana will take on Karnataka.
The Bengal-MP winners will clash with J & K and the winners will enter the quarterfinals.
The Haryana-Karnataka winner will play Maharashtra for a place in the last eight stage.
