Mild pre-monsoon showers accompanied by a cool breeze brought relief to the Hadouti region of Rajasthan from the run of intense hot weather which had affected normal life in the area.
Light showers and hail occurred in the Nainwa, Indergarh, Keshoraipatan and Lekhari areas of Bundi district and Kota city, Itawa and Ayana areas of Kota district in the evening yesterday.
After a sandstorm yesterday noon in the Nainwa sub- division, heavy showers lasting about 20 minutes hit Nainwa town while light rainfall occurred in Kota and Bundi.
The Indergarh area of the district experienced light hailing, a phenomenon which was also reported last evening at Karwar, Arneta and the Lekhari areas of Bundi district.
Nahargarh town and nearby villages in Baran district also witnessed mild rainfall for about 45 minutes in the noon yesterday.
Meanwhile, two dead bodies were found today at separate places in Kota with police saying that the duo had likely died of heatstroke.
According to police, Mangilal Bheel (55), a resident of Rajgarh district of Madhaya Pradesh, was found dead on his own rickshaw near Gumanpura cannel.
The second body, of about a 50-year-old man, was found near Dashara Medan. The deceased was a destitute and police said they were trying to gather more details about him.
