Mechuka, the sub-divisional headquarters of West Siang district remained cut off from rest of the state as the Aalo-Mechukha road remained blocked from Aalo, the district headquarters, due to erosion caused by flood water of Gapo river, officials said.
The area has been experiencing torrential rain for the last four days.
In Lohit district, the situation continued to be grim as Lohit river has washed away several 33 kv electricity poles disrupting electricity supply to parts of Tezu township.
Anjaw district remained cut off from the rest of the state for the fifth day after flashfloods, landslides and flooded streams damaged surface communication at various places.

Major landslides were triggered at Mompani and Tiding areas virtually cutting off the border district.
There has been marginal increase in the water volume of Siang river and local streams, but no major road blockage or untoward incident has been reported so far.
