The low pressure area has been formed over the south east Bay of Bengal and the adjoining area of its central part with associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level, the MeT office said here today.
The system is likely to be more intensified over the east central Bay of Bengal during the next three to four days.
Under its influence, rain and thundershower is likely to occur in one or two places in the state in the next 24 hours, it said.
