Issuing the warning, it said an induced upper air cyclonic circulation which is likely to form over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan during the next 24 hours would affect Himalayan region.
The MeT office further predicted rains, thunderstorm and snowfall at isolated places in lower, mid and higher hills for six days from February 7 onwards.
The weather remained dry in the region but strong velocity winds swept the mid and higher hills, deprivingthe people of warmth of the sun.
Bhuntar recorded a 3.0 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan and Sundernagar (5.4), Shimla and Una (6.8), Palampur (7), Dharamsala (10.6) and Nahan (11.3).
Una was hottest in the region with the maximum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius while Sundernagar and Nahan recorded a high of 24.4 and24.3 degrees Celsius followed by Bhuntar (23.2), Solan (21.7), Dharamsala (20.2), Shimla (16) and Kalpa(11).
