Rainfall, thundershowers witnessed in parts of Uttar Pradesh

Light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers occurred at isolated places over the state in last 24 hours even as night temperatures rose in few areas.
Chief amount of rainfall recorded in Sitapur was 2cms while Hardoi, Shikohabad, Chatta and Rampur recorded 1 cm each, the MeT office said.
Night temperature appreciably rose yesterday in Bareilly, Agra, Meerut divisions, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Moradabad divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
They were markedly above normal in Bareilly, Jhansi, Agra, Faizabad, Meerut and Kanpur divisions; appreciably above normal in Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Moradabad divisions and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

Lowest minimum temperature in the state was 9.0 degree Celsius recorded at Nazibabad.
Thundershowers would occur at isolated places over the state tomorrow but weather would be mainly dry over the state later, the MeT report said.
