Rains at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh

Moderate rains occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh as monsoon remained subdued in the region.
Kangra and Baldwara recorded 40 mm rains while Paonta Sahib received 22 mm rains followed by Dharamsala 21 mm, Nurpur 13 mm, Guler 8 mm and Berthin and Hamirpur 7 mm.
Maximum day temperatures remained steady with Una recording a high of 34 deg C while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded maximum temperatures at 32.5 deg C and 31.3 deg C respectively, followed by Kangra 30.9 deg C, Dharamsala 27.4 deg C, Solan 25.5 deg C, Shimla 23 deg C and Kalpa 20 deg C.
Minimum temperatures rose marginally in tribal areas and Kalpa and Keylong in the tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti recorded a low of 10 deg C and 11.1 deg C, while Una was warmest at night with minimum temperature at 21.5 deg C, a drop of 2 deg since yesterday.
Shimla and Mandi recorded minimum temperature at 14 deg C, followed by Solan 16 deg C and Dharamsala 20 deg C.
The sky remained cloudy in Shimla and adjoining areas but, there were no rains.
The local MeT office has predicted rain and thundershowers at few places in the state over the next five days.
