The mercury stayed marginally below normal in Himachal Pradesh as scattered rains lashed several parts of the state.
The day temperatures dropped marginally and Una on Shiwalik foothills was hottest in the region with a high of 35.6 degrees Celsius while Sundernagar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.1 degrees Celsius, followed by 30.6 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala and Bhuntar, 29.2 degrees Celsius in Nahan, 27.0 degrees Celsius in Solan, 20.0 degrees Celsius in Kalpa and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Keylong and 23.6 degrees Celsius in Shimla.
Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded a low of 2.0 degrees Celsius, followed by 6.0 degrees Celsius in Kalpa, 11.4 degrees Celsius in Bhuntar, 11.8 degrees Celsius in Shimla, 13.5 degrees Celsius in Solan, 14.8 degrees Celsius in Sundernagar, 15 degrees Celsius in Nahan and Palampur, 16.6 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala and 19.0 degrees Celsius in Una.
Rajgarh in Sirmaur district was wettest in the region with 45 mm rains while Solan recorded 33 mm rainfall, followed by 19 mm in Nadaun and Dharampur, 7 mm in Mashobra, 6 mm in Paonta Sahib, 5 mm in Pachhad, 4 mm in Kasauli and Kufri and3 mm in Kotkhai and Kumarsein.
The MeT department here has predicted rains and thundershowers in the mid hills and rains or snow in the higher hills for the next six days.
