Rains bring mercury down in Raj

With eastern and western parts of Rajasthan receiving rainfall today, there has been a fall in temperature by 10 degrees Celsius in many parts of the state.
Bayana in Bharatpur and Arai in Ajmer received 10 cm of rain respectively, a MeT department spokesman said.
Nathdwara received 8 cm rainfall, Pindwara 7 cm, Gogunda 7 cm, Begun 6 cm, Sawai Madhopur 6 cm, Giola 6 cm, Pisagan 5 cm and Sarwar 5 cm, he said.
In Ajmer district, Kekri received 7 cm rainfall, Bhinai 7 cm, Nasirabad 6 cm, Srinagar 6 cm and Vijaynagar 5 cm.
The other places in the state received 1-4 cm of rainfall, the spokesman said.
Ajmer recorded a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius while Bikaner recorded 31 degrees Celsius.
The MeT has predicted more rainfall coupled with strong winds in the state for the next 24 hours.
