Rains brought much needed respite today from sultry weather conditions here for people who have been reeling under hot and humid conditions.
Met Department, however, predicted cloudy weather conditions coupled with light to moderate rainfall in eastern Bihar for next three to four days while the remaining parts of the state including the capital (Patna) will witness partially cloudy weather and light and scattered rainfall.
"A cyclone will hit Bangladesh tonight which will create moisture in the area (Bihar) and hence there would be cloudy weather conditions coupled with light to moderate rainfall in eastern Bihar," IMD Patna Director Ashish Sen told PTI.
Sen further said that the remaining parts of the state, including the state capital, will witness partially cloudy weather and light and scattered rainfall.
People will not feel much discomfort in the next three to four days as temperature is likely to remain normal or below normal, Met officials said, adding north Bihar is likely to witness rainfall from May 23 to 25 due to western disturbances.
Patna and Gaya too may witness rainfall on May 23 and 24, sources said.
