Rains & cloudy sky keep max temp below 30 degrees in Bihar

Light to moderate and heavy to heavy rainfall occurred in most places of north east, north central and north west parts of Bihar, Met office said.
While light rainfall occurred at one or two places in south west, light rainfall took place in many places of south central and light to moderate rainfall was witnessed in most places of south east parts of the state.
Patna Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rain in one or two places in north Bihar tomorrow while heavy rain is likely to occur in one or two places in south east parts of the state.
As per Met bulletin, Purnea registered 108.8 mm rainfall among four major cities during the day, followed by 2.0 mm in Bhagalpur, 0.2 mm in Patna.
Purnea registered 39.6 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours (recorded between 8:30 am on Friday to 8:30 am on Saturday), followed 8.2 mm in Patna, 7.5 in Bhagalpur and 1.4 mm in Gaya, it said.
Weather remained cloudy throughout the day coupled with very light rainfall that made weather pleasant in the state capital.

Among the major cities, Gaya recorded the highest maximum temperature at 30.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 29.8 degrees in Patna, 28.6 degrees in Bhagalpur and 27.5 degrees in Purnea, Met office said.
In its forecast, the MeT office said that Patna and Gaya are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with few spells of rain or thunder shower tomorrow while Bhagalpur may witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of heavy rain tomorrow.
Purnea, however, is expected to witness continuous rain tomorrow with generally cloudy sky tomorrow, it said.
