Rains continue in Raj, Sriganganagar hottest at 43.7 deg C

Rains continued to lash parts of Rajasthan today even though Sriganganagar scorched at a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius.
Jaswantpura in Jalore registered the maximum of 7 cm rains, followed by Raniwara (in Jalore) which received 4 cm rains.
Several other places recorded below 4 cm rains since yesterday till this morning, while Kota recorded 9.8 mm rains since this morning till evening, according to the Met department.
Isolated areas in Jodhpur received heavy rains and the rest of the areas, barring Bikaner division, witnessed light to moderate rains.
Meanwhile, Srigangangar was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius.
Churu and Bikaner recorded maximum temperatures of 42.5 and 41.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
The MeT department has forecast heavy rainfall over the eastern parts of the state tomorrow.
