Darjeeling recorded 74 mm rainfall in 24 hours from yesterday morning, the only place in the state to have received substantial precipitation during the period, the MeT department said.
The weatherman forecast moderate to heavy rain in sub-Himalayan districts of Darjeeling, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri in the next two days.
In South Bengal, the MeT department forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain in the next two days.
