Rains in east, west Uttar Pradesh

Southwest monsoon remained normal over the state leading to moderate to heavy rains or thundershowers at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and some places in the west.
The MeT office said the chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms in the past 24 hours were Bani 10; Katerniaghat, Kanpur and Kaiserganj 9 each; Nawabganj 7; Rath and Sardanagar 5 each; Harriya, Gonda and Varanasi 4 each; Ghazipur, Lucknow and Neemsar 3 each and
Barabanki, Basti, Bansgaon, Jaunpur, Mahoba, Orai, Badaun, Churk and Lakhimur Kheri 2 each.
According to the MeT forecast, rains or thundershowers will occur in east and west parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
