Day temperatures rose in Faizabad, Lucknow, Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, they said.
They were appreciably above normal in Allahabad, Bareilly, Meerut divisions, above normal in Varanasi, Moradabad divisions and were normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Etawah was the hottest place in the state recording 44.8 degrees Celsius followed by Jhansi with 42.3 degrees and Allahabad with 42.2 degrees C.
MeT department has forecast that rain and thundershowers would occur at isolated places over the next two days.
