Rains in parts of HP, 132 roads still blocked

Moderate to heavy rains occurred in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, while 132 roads in the state were still blocked due to landslides even as rain fury abated in many areas.
As many as 58 roads were blocked in Kangra circle, 41 in Shimla circle and 32 roads in Mandi circle. Efforts are on to open the roads at the earliest, the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department said.
According to the MeT department, parts of Chamba, Kangra and Bilaspur districts experienced heavy rains and Dalhousie was wettest in the region with 127 mm of rains.
Ghumarwin recorded 96 mm of rainfall, followed by Gohar 67 mm, Paonta Sahib 66 mm, Pandoh 51 mm, Dharamsala 42 mm, Gaggal 20 mm and Hamirpur 14 mm of precipitation.
Minimum temperatures rose marginally.
Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded a low of 13.9 degrees Celsius and 15.2 degrees Celsius respectively, followed by Manali 15.4 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 17.2 degrees Celsius, Shimla 17.3 degrees Celsius, Palampur 21 degrees Celsius, Solan and Nahan both 21.5 degrees Celsius.

Day temperatures rose by a few notches and the mercury again breached 35-degree mark with Una recording a high of 35.2 degrees Celsius.
Bhuntar was warmer at 33.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Sundernagar 32.5 degrees Celsius, Nahan 28 degrees Celsius, Solan 27.5 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 26.6 degrees Celsius, Shimla 24.4 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 22.8 degrees Celsius and Manali 22.6 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has warned of heavy rains at isolated places in the mid and lower hills from August 11 to 13 and a wet spell in the region till August 16.
