Rains keep Delhi wet

Rains lashed the capital again, keeping the mercury below normal with the maximum temperature settling at 32 degrees Celsius, five notches below the normal.
The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered official for the city, received 20.4 mm of rain till 8.30 AM today while between 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM, it received 4.2 mm rain.
The rainfall recorded at Palam observatory till 8.30 AM was 37.9 mm.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal.
The humidity level oscillated between 98 and 79 per cent respectively.
The MeT office has forecast generally cloudy sky along with the possibility of light rain and thundershowers towards the morning.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum settled at 35.1 degrees Celsius.
