It was rainy Sunday as Delhiites enjoyed the showers that stretched throughout the day bringing down the temperature to a pleasant 26 degrees Celsius.
"Moderate rain was registered in the national capital with Safdarjung observatory recording 35.8 mm of rainfall," according to the MeT office.
The temperature came down to a pleasant 26 degrees Celsius after the downpour.
"The reading at other observatories were Palam 46.2 mm, Lodhi Road 34.0 mm, Ayanagar 38.8 mm and Ridge 19.6 mm," the weatherman said.
The incessant rain, however, pushed the humidity level to 95 per cent during the day.
Meanwhile, waterlogging was reported from several parts of the capital including many important traffic intersections. But it being a holiday, the city was spared the traffic woes.
"Waterlogging complaints were received from areas such as Wazirabad flyover, Barapullah, Adchini traffic intersection, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, Lodhi Road, IGNOU Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, AIIMS, Rajokri flyover among others," according to an official at the Traffic Control Room.
The forecast for tomorrow's maximum temperature 34 degrees Celsius. "Cloudy sky with rain and thundershower in Delhi and parts of the national capital region is also expected tomorrow," the weatherman said.
