Rains lash eastern Uttar Pradesh

Normal life was paralysed in eastern Uttar Pradesh districts due to incessant rainfall since late last night, Met department sources said.
According to the Meteorological department, around 22 mm rainfall has been recorded since late night.
The administration closed down schools and colleges for the day, sources said.
Residents remained indoor due to the inclement weather and roads wore a deserted look.
According to the Met office, the day's temperature has deviated six notches from normal while the night temperature was one degree above normal during the past twenty four hours.
Intermittent rain is still continuing here and in adjoining districts.
