While Amritsar was drenched by 55.4 mm, Ambala received 40 mm of rainfall.
Among other places, Patiala received 13.1 mm of rains followed by 11.6 mm at Hisar.
In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, Hisar was hottest place with a high of 36 degrees celsius.
While Patiala settled at a high of 35.2 degrees Celsius, Chandigarh and Amritsar had an identical high of 34.9 degrees Celsius, which was two notches each above normal.
The weatherman has predicted light to moderate rains or thundershowers at isolated places in the region during the next 24 hours.
