Rains lash most parts of Rajasthan

Rains lashed most parts of Rajasthan today including the western regions of Jodhpur division with Dungarpur receiving the maximum rainfall of 110 mm in the last 24 hours.
South-west monsoon is active over the state and has brought respite to people from the hot and humid weather conditions specially in Jodhpur, Barmer, Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts, a Met department official said.
Kushalgarh recorded a rainfall of 100 mm followed by Salumber, Chouhtan, Shiv and Barmer 90 mm each and Sindri, Sagaria, Jhalawar and Nimbahera 70 mm each.
Raipur, Banswara, Jadole, Rajakhera, Jodhpur and Fatehgarh received 60 mm with Kota getting 47 mm rains.
Jaipur also received scattered rains in the outskirts of the city and maximum rainfall was recorded at the airport was 0.8 mm.
Rains will continue in the state during the weekend, a forecast said.
