Rains lash north WB; Kolkata remains hot at 35.9 C

Heavy rains continued to lash north Bengal today even as people in the state capital experienced uncomfortable heat.
While IMD officials said heavy rains were recorded from the north Bengal districts, a maximum temperature of 35.9 degrees C and a minimum of 28.5 degrees C was recorded in Kolkata today.
The weatherman has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm for the metro city tomorrow.
Temperature in Malda went up to 35 degrees C while Bankura recorded 37, Sriniketan 36, Krishnagar 36 and Burdwan 36 degrees C respectively.
The hill station of Darjeeling was cooler with a maximum temperature of 18 degrees C and a minimum of 15 degrees C.
