Rains lash Rajasthan, throw life of out of gear

Monsoon affected normal life in parts of Rajasthan as heavy rains lashed isolated areas and light to moderate rainfall occurred in many places.
Lalsot town in Dausa district recorded the most showers at 23 cm followed by Jaipur where 12 cm rains till morning today since yesterday threw life out of gear.
Bassi town in Jaipur recorded 10 cm rains whereas Sanganer and Chomu areas received 9 cm rains during this period, according to Met department.
Several other places also recorded below 8 cm rains.
Heavy rainfall occurred in Jaipur and Ajmer divisions while Bikaner division remained mainly dry.
Till evening since morning today, Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Kota recorded 15.7 mm, 7 mm and 0.8 mm rainfall.

The department has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated areas in the state during next 24 hours.
