Rains lash several parts of Himachal Pradesh

Rains lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh today as monsoons remained active in the state, the Met office said.
It has warned of heavy rains in the mid and lower hills over next three days and predicted a wet spell in the region up toAugust 14.
The Public Works Department today opened 148 roads while 132 roads are still closed in the state, an official said.
Some of roads in the interior areas of Himachal Pradesh are closed for more than a week.
In Kangra district, which is experiencing heavy rains for past three weeks, 58 roads are closed due to landslide while 41 roads are closed in Shimla and 32 in Mandi.
Dharamshala received 138mm rains followed by Paonta sahib 99mm, Nainadevi 91mm, Gaggal 87mm, Palampur 50mm, Una 43mm, Nagrotasurian 41mm, Sarkaghat 36mm, Amb 33mm and Shimla 17mm of rains.
The minimum temperatures increased marginally and Manali was the coldest in the region with a low of 15 degree Celsius followed by Kalpa 15.4, Keylong 16, Dharamshala and Shimla 17, Mandi 18.2, Nahan 20.3, Palampur 21, Solan and Bhuntar 21.4, Sundernagar 23.1 and Una 25 degrees Celsius.
There was no significant change in the maximum temperatures and Bhuntar was hottest with a high of32.4 degrees Celsius followed by Sundernagar 31.4, Una 30.6, Nahan 27.8, Dharamshala 27.2, Solan 26.4, Manali and Kalpa 23.6 and Shimla 22.4 degrees Celsius.
