Rains and thunder showers may lash one or two places in Odisha in the next 24 hours in view of development of a low pressure area over the Tenasserim Coast and adjoining Andaman Sea, the weatherman has predicted.
Under the influence of the Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over the Gulf of Siam and neighbourhood, a low pressure area was formed over the Tenasserim Coast and adjoining Andaman Sea at 0830 hours IST today, a bulletin issued by the IMD said.
It would concentrate into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during the next 24 hours and further concentrate into a Depression during subsequent 24 hours causing rain and thundershower in one or two places in the state during the next 24 hours, the bulletin said.
There is, however, no heavy rainfall warning or cautionary for the fishermen.
