The day temperatures dropped by a few notches as many parts of Himachal Pradesh were lashed by rains and severe thunderstorm.
Sujanpur Tira was wettest in the region with 72 mm rains while Nadaun and Gohar received 60 mm and 55 mm rains, respectively, according to the MeT department here.
Sangrah recorded 34 mm of rainfall, Sarkaghat 31 mm, Bijahi 30 mm, Mandi 26 mm, Rajgarh 25 mm, Kotkhai and Guler 22 mm, Aghar 20 mm, Bhoranj 19 mm, Hamirpur 16 mm, Arki and Nagrotasurian 15 mm, Dehra, Pandoh and Olan 14 mm and Shimla, Renuka and Jubbarhatti 13 mm.
In Una, the maximum temperature dropped to 38.2 degrees Celsius while Bhuntar, Sundernagar and Nahan recorded a high of 34.2 degrees Celsius, 33.6 degrees Celsius and 32.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Dharamsala 30.8 degrees Celsius, Palampur 30.5 degrees Celsius, Solan 30.2 degrees Celsius, Shimla 26.5 degrees Celsius, Manali 25.4 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 23.8 degrees Celsius and Keylong 23.2 degrees Celsius.
The MeT office here has predicted rains or thundershowers in the lower and mid hills and rains or snow in the higher hills from June 5 onwards and dry weather in the region tomorrow.
