Rains lashed the national capital this morning with the minimum temperature settling at 17.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
Humidity was recorded at 88 per cent at 8.30 AM.
According to a MeT official, Palam, Safdarjung, Lodhi Road Ridge and Ayanagar observatories reported rainfall of 0.3 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.2 mm, 3.3 mm and 13.3 mm respectively.
The MeT office has predicted lightning and thundershowers till the forenoon.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Lightning and thundershowers would occur till forenoon. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 29 degrees," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was pegged at 16.8 degrees Celsius.
