Earlier doctors joining government service had to fill up a bond agreeing to serve for a minimum of three years.
In case of resignation before the completion of three-year service, doctors had to pay the entire salary drawn during their service period.
This was done to prevent attrition of government doctors, who used to opt for private practice for better returns.
"Now, the condition has been removed and the doctors will not have to fill any bond for the minimum service period," Rajasthan Health Minister A A Khan said.
It will help the government to fill the vacant posts of medical officers in the state, he said.
