Raj govt asks dept to ensure 5 PC quota for SBC in edu

Rajasthan government has issued an order to every department to ensure five per cent reservation under special backward class (SBC) in educational institutions under them in place of one per cent.
"SBC Act 2015 has come into force by a notification issued on October 16, 2015. The notification to provide five per cent quota to SBC class replaced earlier orders which provided one per cent quota to the class," a release said today.
The order was issued recently to all the departments to ensure five per cent reservation to SBC class, including Gujjars, in educational institutions.
