Raj govt raises subsidy rate for cattle feed by Rs 3

In a relief to farmers of scarcity-hit areas in the state, Rajasthan Government today decided to raise the subsidy rate for cattle feed by Rs 3.
The decision to raise the subsidy rate from Rs 4 to Rs 7 per kg was taken at the meeting of the State Disaster Management Authority, chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The Chief Minister also gave approval to declare 535 villages of 16 districts as scarcity-hit villages during the meeting, a spokesperson said.
He also directed forest department officials to make proper drinking water arrangements for animals in summer season, the spokesperson added.
Gehlot also reviewed other arrangements made for the summer season. State ministers Dr Jitendra Singh, Hemaram Chaudhary, Brijendra Ola and senior officers were present in the meeting.
