Raj govt schools in 12 districts to get modern teaching aid

Students of around 1,000 upper primary government schools in Rajasthan's 12 districts will be getting education with the help of ultra modern teaching aid as a UK-based multinational company has decided to donate projectors.
Vedanta Foundation, a fully funded charitable trust of UK-based Vedanta Resources Plc, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Rajasthan's Department of School Education, to provide digital education to around 1000 upper primary government schools in 12 districts of the state.
"With a view to introduce modern tools to supplant present formal education system, Vedanta Foundation will contribute projectors to every upper primary schools in 12 districts along with capacity building of teachers ultimately bridging the digital gap for children studying at government schools," a release from the foundation said.
The programme would be launched in the schools in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Rajsamandh, Sikar, Alwar, Ajmer and Tonk district, Suman Didwania, Trustee-Vedanta Foundation said in the release.
