Raj govt seeks report after 2 Zila officers thash each other

The Rajasthan government today sought report on the two Zila Parishad officers who allegedly thrashed each other in Karauli district following a palpable discord between them, police said.
Block Development Officer Karauli Babli Ram Jat went to the quarter of the Zila Parishad CEO Shamsuddin Khan and allegedly hurled abuses for making a complaint against him to the seniors for the laxness in duty, police said.
After some time, Khan along with others went to Jat's place and a brawl emerged between the two parties, SP Karauli Yogesh Yadav
Both of them have received injuries in the incident, he said.
"The BDO alleged that CEO had been demanding a monthly bribe of Rs one lakh from him and made a false complaint to seniors on his refusal. The officers have lodged FIRs against each other," the SP said.
Taking a serious note of the incident, the state government has sought a report from the district collector.
"A detailed report of the matter will be forwarded to the state government and action will be taken accordingly," Karauli collector Vikram Singh Chauhan said.
