Raj govt signs over 100 MoUs to create direct employment

Rajasthan government today signed 111 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with a total value of Rs 40,550.99 crore to create a direct employment for 82,840 persons in various sectors.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Union Minister of State (Independent) Tourism and Culture Mahesh Sharma and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the run up to the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 to be held later this month.
"Rajasthan is known for its tourism products like history, culture, hospitality as well as its law and order. This makes it an ideal tourism destination.
However, there is still a huge potential for tourism in the State to be exploited," Sharma said.
The Chief Minister said that MoUs were signed in the sectors like agriculture, industries, UDH, skill development and renewable energy, besides tourism.
She said that the endeavour of the Government is to translate as many MOUs into projects on the ground.
The Chief Minister said that Affordable Housing sector was receiving good response in terms of investment.
In agriculture sector, Chief Minister said that the government is also conscious of the importance of post-harvest management, warehousing, logistics, poultry and livestock feed and input manufacturing in supplementing farm incomes and creating jobs.
