Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the state-level call centre which will provide information from 8 am to 8 pm on toll free number 18001806127.
"Callers can get information about the scheme and their implementation as well as beneficiaries of a scheme can also register their complaint," Gehlot said here.
The state has introduced various flagship schemes and empowered people and the call centre will prove an important step in disseminating information about them, he said.
In another function, Gehlot flagged off first special train of over 900 pilgrims to Rameshwaram under the senior citizen pilgrimage scheme which was introduced some time back.

The government has an annual target of 25,000 people to cover with the scheme under which the government will bear trip expenses and pilgrims have option to go to one of the 11 places like Jagannathpur, Rameshwaram, Vaishno Devi, Tirupati, among others.
The Chief Minister assured that the number of pilgrims covered under the scheme would be raised, for which the state government is in conversation with Railways which is a partner of the state in this scheme.
