Rs 445 lakh will be provided this year for the project under which various initiatives aimed at the bird's conservation which included strengthening of infrastructure, construction of water sources in godawan habitat will be taken, Forest and Environment minister Bina Kak said today.
Rajasthan is the first state in the country to launch such project, she said in a release here.
A task force will also be formed for effective monitoring of the project.
Majority of the Godawan in the country are found in Rajasthan.
